Growth & GTM · Bay Area

I build acquisition loops, not funnels.

Three years running full-loop growth for clients:   paid acquisition, activation, lifecycle, as a one-person growth team. Now looking to go deep inside one product.

Open to growth, GTM & lifecycle roles on-site, hybrid, or remote

01 — The Loop

How does a business grow?

Every growth engagement starts with the same question: how does this product/service grow? I built a closed loop for private schools where revenue from enrolled families funds the next cycle of acquisition. Output reinvested into input. That's what makes it a loop and not a leaky funnel.

One channel, deep.

Distribution follows the power law. For schools the channel is Meta. Parents are there, tours book from there so I built one channel deep instead of five shallow.

Activation is the whole game.

The booked tour is the moment a family experiences the school. 76 parents at one open house; 9 preschool families into group tours (high-ticket, niche audience). Small counts, huge stakes.

Retention does the compounding.

One enrolled family retains for years of tuition and LTV that makes the CAC math work and funds the next acquisition cycle. Usage is the input; revenue retention is the output.

Private school enrollment system

Acquisition · Activation · Lifecycle

Done-for-you enrollment growth for private schools (confidential clients). I own the whole loop: Meta campaign strategy and creative, landing pages, automated lead follow-up, and tour booking. Campaign one filled an open house; campaign two iterated the offer to small-group tours: deeper in the funnel, higher intent per attendee.

Venture Point Legal : full rebrand

Positioning · Messaging · Web

Took a boutique VC/M&A law firm serving startup founders and investors through a complete repositioning: new name (Blechynden Legal → Venture Point Legal), new narrative : "deal-ready legal support from seed to exit," new messaging architecture, and a new marketing site. Positioning molded to the market it actually serves: founders raising and exiting.

Full stack: name → narrative → site · B2B audience: VC-backed founders

Founder-led content engines

Content · Owned Audience

Authority LinkedIn articles, newsletters, and blogs for founders and executives across legal, design, and education,  turning a founder's voice into their company's most durable owned channel. Strategy, drafting, and repurposing into multi-channel campaigns.

The decade before: growing a faith community

Engagement · Retention · Leadership

For 9 years I led my own department in Silicon Valley, most recently as Community & Operations Director at Bethel Church San Jose. A weekly engagement product, run live: onboarding journeys, retention systems, brand and communications end to end. Retention is breadth, engagement is depth. I learned both with real humans before I learned the dashboards.

03 — How I Work

Systems thinking, shipped fast.

Loops over funnels

I map how the product grows: qualitatively, then with numbers on each stage and build the closed loop that compounds, not the funnel that leaks.

Activation over vanity

Impressions don't enroll students. I optimize for the moment value gets experienced: the booked tour, the activation point, the first win.

AI-run operations

My entire workflow runs on AI: research, campaign builds, creative, reporting, etc. through prompting and agent tools like Claude and Cowork. One person, agency-level output.

Technical by training

B.S. Computer Science (UC Merced). I think in systems, query my own data, and translate technical products into narratives buyers actually understand.

04 — About

People first. Operator second. Engineer underneath.

I'm Michael, founder of Amare Marketing, where I've spent 3+ years as the entire growth team for my clients: strategy through execution, first touch through retention.

Before that, I spent twelve years doing something most marketers never get to do: running audiences live. Leading departments and communities in Silicon Valley taught me what activation and retention feel like from the stage, not just the spreadsheet and 500+ talks taught me how to hold a room of 30 or 1,000+.

Now I want to compound inside one product instead of renting across many. If your acquisition works but activation leaks, or your pipeline stalls between ad click and booked meetings, those are my favorite problems.

Let's talk about your loop.

I'm looking for a growth, GTM, or lifecycle role at a funded startup where I can own a loop end to end. Bay Area on-site or hybrid preferred; remote works. If you're building something and the pipeline isn't moving — I like those problems.
